This is not a pieced together kit made from stock grill bars and stainless steel sheet. The components have all been engineered using Autocad and laser cutting technology for a precision fit. The grill bars are fabricated from 10 gauge ss. The heel plate, which also provides protection from rock strikes, sand and such, is made from 11 gauge ss. Tig welding is used, along with jigs, to eliminate distortion or deformation that's usually encountered when welding stainless. Each grill bar assembly is then fit tested onto an intake shoe for quality control. The same precision fabricating techniques are used at the lever for the aluminum brackets and cover. Last but not least the cable is specifically designed for smooth operation in marine environments. I think you will find this a quality, useful product. The one you've been waiting for.
